Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after home heating oil was stolen from a private residence in Mountrath.
The theft, which took place in Rushall area of the town, occurred on Wednesday night.

In a separate incident, Gardaí were called to the Jack & Jones shop in Portlaoise Shopping Centre yesterday following a theft.
A man, a young foreign national, stole a jacket from the clothing store but has since been arrested.
