There was some fantastic hurling and football played on the hallowed turf of Croke Park as U-8s from all over the country descended on the capital to show off their skills once again.

The Go Games Provincial Days is a brilliant initiative which sees thousands of boys and girls from across Ireland given the opportunity to play in Croke Park.

Amongst the clubs in attendance on day two were seven from Laois – Abbeyleix, Camross, Park-Ratheniska, Mountrath, Kilcavan, Clough-Ballacolla and Clonaslee-St Manman’s.

They followed on from the six Laois clubs who were there on Monday – footballers from Arles-Killeen, Arles-Kilcruise, Stradbally, Annanough and Graiguecullen along with hurlers from Raheen Parish Gaels.
