Laois minor hurler Ciarán Comerford has been shortlisted for the Electric Ireland Player of the Week award.

The Harps sharpshooter hit six points from play in Laois’s 2-22 to 0-14 win over Offaly in round one of the Leinster Minor Hurling Championship at the weekend.

Comerford, who is a dual star, will be hoping to continue his fine form when Laois take on Dublin in Parnell Park this Saturday in Round 2.

In the meantime, he has nominated for Electric Ireland Player of the Week alongside Adrian Mullen of Kilkenny and Ciarán Tobin of Kildare.

The vote is open to the public on the Electric Ireland Facebook page and the winner will be announced at 12pm tomorrow.
