The top two in the Carlow Premier Division played out a scoreless draw last night to blow the title race wide open.

Crettyard United and New Oak Boys couldn’t be separated and it is a result which leaves the Laois side top by two points with two games remaining.

However, Hanover Harps, who are five points back in third place, have a game in hand and should they win that, they will join New Oak Boys in second place – two points back.

With Crettyard United and Hanover Harps set to clash in the final game of the season, things will go right down to the wire.

Crettyard face Celtic Stars tomorrow where they will hope to win to keep things in their own hands ahead of that final game.

CRETTYARD UNITED: Geoff Moran; Seamus Dowling, Terance Haughney, James Sherwood, Craig Comerford; Niall Purcell, Jason Enright, Mikey Byrne, Seán O’Shea; Colin Osbourne, Lee Salter. Subs: Jason Kiely for Haughney, Brendan Fox for Dowling, Jim Dunne.
