The Laois senior hurlers will play Wexford in O’Moore Park in the Leinster SHC quarter-final on Sunday, May 28, following their win over Kerry in Tralee.

Laois were 2-21 to 3-15 winners over Kerry meaning Eamonn Kelly’s men finish the Round Robin stages unbeaten. And they were drawn to play Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford in the next round.

The draw was made in Mullingar following Westmeath’s win over Meath – and it sees Laois host Wexford on Sunday, May 28, in O’Moore Park.

Westmeath were drawn to play Offaly in the other quarter-final while Dublin V Galway was already set in stone.

The winners of Laois and Wexford will meet Kilkenny in the semi-final with Dublin, Galway, Offaly and Westmeath all on the other side of the draw.

And Laois’s home advantage against Wexford will mean O’Moore Park will host championship action two weeks running. The Laois footballers play Longford in the opening round of the Leinster SFC next Sunday.
