WATCH: LaoisToday Snapchat takeover at the Ploughing goes down a storm

Laois is a small county filled with wonderful people.

We launched ourselves on Snapchat a couple of months ago and the reaction has been brilliant.

In recent weeks, we’ve given control of the LaoisToday Snapchat to a number of different people who have covered events for us.

Most recent, a combination of Matthew ‘Hatch’ Finlay, Shane Nerney and Cormac O’Hora covered a JFC semi-final.

Brian Hogan stepped in to do one of the SFC quarter finals while a group of women from Graiguecullen and Portarlington stepped in to cover their respective games.

The reaction has been brilliant. So yesterday we enlisted the help of two people who also covered events for us.

Mountmellick’s Bernard ‘Bman’ Rochford and Mary Phelan teamed up to cover Day 1 of the National Ploughing Championships.

They did some job too and they detailed all of their day brilliantly.
