Michael Kennedy Snr

Michael Kennedy SNR. Lacca, Mountrath. Died unexpectedly at The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on Feb.17th. Beloved son of the late James and Ann. Predeceased by his brother Sean. Deeply regretted by his brothers Paddy (Cardtown) and Jim (Mountrath), sisters Phil Fitzpatrick (Lacca), Maureen Conway (Mayo), Anne and Kathleen (Leeds), sisters-in-law Kathleen and Agnes, brother-in-law Michael, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing in the Kennedy Family Home in Lacca from 5pm today, Monday. Recital of the Rosary this Monday evening at 9pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.15am to St. Fergal’s Church, Camross for 11am Requiem Mass. Burial after in St. Fergal’s Cemetery.

Catherine Gilligan(née GREHAN)
Greenhills, Ballyfin Road, Mountrath, Laois

Catherine Gilligan (neé Grehan), Greenhills, Ballyfin Road, Mountrath, Co.Laois. Died 16th February 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family, predeceased by her husband Martin, and daughter Joan. Sadly missed by her sons Martin, Anthony, Aidan, John, daughters Margaret, Ann, Claire, Gabrielle, Majella, Angela, Carmel, Frances and Mary, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sisters, brother, extended family, relatives, and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath on Sunday evening from 3pm, followed by removal at 6.30pm to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Monday morning at 11am, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Ballyfin.

James (Jimmy) Conroy
Cappakeel, Emo, Laois

Died peacefully surround by his loving family at the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Esther. Deeply regretted by his sisters, Lucy and Annie and brother Vincent, brother-in-law Patrick, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home, Mountmellick from 5.30pm on Monday evening with Removal at 6.35pm arriving (via New Inn Cross) at St. Paul’s Church, Emo, at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 o clock and burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations (if desired) to St. Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick.

 Simon Dollard, London and formerly, Ballyedmond, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. Beloved son of the late John and Bridget. Sadly missed by his loving sisters Lilly (De Mattos), Breda (Campion) and Alice (Delaney) and his brother John, sister-in-law Peggy Dollard, brother-in-law Tom Delaney, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass on Thursday, February 22nd, at 9am in The Church Of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by interment of ashes in Rathdowney Local Cemetery.

 Douglas Gee, Moonbawn, Mountrath, Co.Laois – Died 18th February 2018 (peacefully), at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, husband of Ann, father to Trevor and Andrew, grandchildren Hannah, Sam and Charlie, daughters-in-law Trudy and Nicola, son of Inez and the late Sam; deeply regretted by his sorrowing family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on (Monday) afternoon from 2pm with Funeral Prayers at 8.0’clock. Removal on (Tuesday) afternoon to St. Peter’s Church Mountrath, for Funeral Service at 2pm followed by burial in the adjoining churchyard.
