Major housing development planned for Portlaoise

New houses planned for Kilminchy

Planning permission has been lodged for a major housing development in Portlaoise.

Twomilehouse Construction Limited have applied to build 32 new homes in Kilminchy in the town.

The proposal sees these houses broken up into three different types.

Eight of them will be two-bedroom, two-storey terraced houses and 16 will be three-bedroom, two storey terraced homes.

While the remaining eight will be two-bedroom, two-storey homes which need to be completed.

The houses will be built in Lake Crescent, Lake Glen, Lake Glade, Lake Drive and Lake Grove.

Elsewhere

Meanwhile, permission has also been sought to build a 30 metre mast in Errill.

Cignal Infrastructure Ltd have applied to build a multi-user lattice structure at Knockardagannon.

The development will accommodate eir mobile and Imagine broadband to enable the provision of enhanced mobile services and Next Generation broadband for the area.
