Midlands Weather Channel has given severe weather warnings for Laois this evening.
The weather warning includes severe thunderstorms and flash flooding.
Cathal Nolan from the Midlands Weather Channel said: “During the course of the late morning and early afternoon showers will develop across the western half of the Midlands, which will then intensify rapidly and spread to remaining areas of the Midlands through the afternoon and evening.”

“Severe thunderstorm activity is likely, with frequent lightning strikes and flash flooding occurring in some areas. All areas of the Midlands will be at risk,” he added.
