No shortage of Laois gear for supporters before the Leinster final

For many Laois supporters, being in a Leinster final is like Christmas coming early, and Jack Nolan is selling all the festive presents you could ever need.

Hats, banners, scarfs and headbands – you won’t need to go up to the Jones Road in Dublin to get your hands on these. Jack is selling them all in his shop on Railway Street in Portlaoise.

Jack explained why he wanted to get in all the Laois gear in the run up to the Leinster final.

Streets lined with blue and white

“When Laois got to the 1996 All-Ireland final against Kerry, we were the only shop selling flags.

“We put out a request for shops and hotels to hang bunting but there was no-one selling Laois merchandise,” said Jack, who is also the Midlands 103 commentator for the game and a columnist with LaoisToday.

“Mary Delaney from Shanahoe used to make the flags and then we had another great sporting year in 2003 and got in more stock for that,” Jack added.

Jack is selling four different size flags as well as windsocks, headbands, scarves, hats and keyrings.

“I hope people buy Laois gear – not just so we can sell them but so that people are getting out and supporting the team.

“It would be great to see the the whole county covered in blue and white in the days coming up to the final,” he added.

Nolan’s Portlaoise Locksmiths has been long recognised as the Number 1 Locksmith in Portlaoise, Laois and the greater Midlands region.

Over 35 years in business, Nolan’s Locksmiths are the Locksmiths based in Portlaoise town and so provide the quickest response in the area to emergency callouts, 24/7, 365 days a year.
