LIVE BLOG: Follow the action as Laois minor hurlers and U-20 footballers face must-win championship games

We're live from O'Connor Park today

Brought to you in association with Hanlon Kitchens

The hectic schedule continues. While the Laois senior hurlers are out of the championship and the Laois footballers have a weekend off ahead of next Sunday’s Leinster final, there’s still a busy programme of games.

The Laois minor hurlers take on Offaly in Tullamore in the Leinster MHC quarter-final while the U-20 footballers take on Meath in their third group game in the Leinster championship in Navan.

Enda Lyons’ minor hurlers played in the stronger group – but were beaten by Wexford, Dublin and Kilkenny.

They were always assured of a knockout place – and they’ve been pitted against an Offaly side that came through the Tier 2 part of the championship with wins over Antrim, Kildare and Meath.

Throw in for that game is at 1pm.

Billy O’Loughlin’s U-20 footballers take on an unbeaten Meath side at 2pm.

Laois have lost to Kildare and beaten Wicklow but need to beat Meath by 12 points or by three points more than what Kildare beat Wicklow to go through.

We’ll be live blogging all of the action throughout the afternoon so you won’t miss a minute of the action.
