After the 1st innings The Heath were leading 12-0 and they never relinquished the lead from then on in.

To be fair to Adamstown they weren’t fazed by The Heath’s fast start and chipped away at The Heath’s lead, some great batting from Sandra Thorpe kept them in the game. After the third innings it was all to play for at 15-7 in favour of The Heath.

The turning point of the game came in the 4th innings with great fielding from Maria Keane and Shauna Redmond gave The Heath the initiative. Some poor bowling from Adamstown pitcher was punished by The Heath where they ran in 10 scores. The Heath closed out the match and won on a scoreline of 25-15.

The second game of the day was The Heath against Bagnelstown in the mixed quarter final. Once again The Heath started well and they were never challenged in the game.
