In Pictures: Cross Country season gets up and running with busy day of action in Tolerton

The cross-country season got underway on Sunday last, with a fine dry but testing course in Tolerton.

Hosted by St Abbans AC, on the lands of the Graham family, participants and spectators thoroughly enjoyed the 12 race programme, and also enjoyed the refreshments provided by the St Abbans AC Committee.

This programme was the even-ages for Juveniles – U-10 up to U-18, and the adult races were the Novice Ladies and Novice Men

There were some fine individual performances, with all clubs have their share of medal winners on the podium .

The team categories were also hard fought for, and these results were dominated by the host club St Abban’s, and also Oughaval AC – with the Vicarstown-based group showing the benefits of having junior parkrun on their doorstep.

Caitlin McDonald led home a St Abban’s 1-2-3 in the ladies novice race while Aindriu O Comhraidhe from St Michael’s won the men’s novice race.
