O’Moores of Laois are now through to the Leinster intermediate semi final after defeating Buffers Alley of Wexford 2-10 to 1-3 in Mooncoin, Wexford today.
O’Moores took the lead in the third minute to set the tone before the Wexford side replied 60 seconds later.
It wasn’t until the 16th minute that O’Moores clocked on the next score but the Laois women added three points without reply before a Joyce Dunne goal blasted them into the lead after 27th minutes.
Both sides added on a point a piece to make it 1-6 to 1-1 at half-time.
Buffers Alley got the first point on the board of the second half but O’Moores fires back through .
A 60th minute goal from Amy Loughman put nine points between the teams and O’Moores ended up eventual eight point winners – 2-10 to 2-3.
