In Pictures: Portlaoise AFC youngsters visit kids in Portlaoise Hospital

Last week, members of the Portlaoise AFC United U-15 team, who won the MSL Plate last year, visited the Paediatric Ward of Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

The lads were invited in by Dr Muhammed Tariq, Consultant Paediatrician at the Midland Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Dr Tariq’s son Usnam plays on the team and he, along with his dad, facilitated the visit.

Team manager Aengus said: “The lads were really good in fairness to them.

“They bonded really well with the children in there and gave them a boost.

“It was a nice experience for all involved before Christmas.”
