Bridie Fitzpatrick, Connolly Street, Mountmellick. Peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at St Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick. Deeply regretted by her loving family, neighbours, relatives and many friends. Deeply regretted by her sister Mary (UK), neices, nephews, neighbours, relatives and many friends. Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home on Friday from 5pm. Removal at 6.50pm to St. Joseph’s Church, arriving at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 10am. Burial after in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

Killenard, Portarlington, Laois/Rosenallis, Laois

Formerly of Johnsgrove Rosenallis, County Laois. Peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore after a short illness, in the loving care of his family. Predeceased by his loving wife Mary, parents Thomas and Margaret Flanagan and brother Damien. Sadly missed by his loving daughter Sinéad, sons Fergus, Garrett, Conor and Niall, sisters Mary and Geraldine, brothers Thomas, Michael and Joe, daughters-in-law Geraldine, Helene and Thaila, sons-in-law Padraig and John, grandchildren Katie, Aaron, Emily, Rachel, Conor, Daragh, Eoghan, Sadie, Ivy and Finn, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces cousins, relatives and his many friends. May He Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his home in Killenard, Portarlington on Friday 28th December from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday 29th December arriving St John’s Church, Killenard for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. No Flowers Please. House Private On Saturday Morning Please.

Mayo, Monavea, Crettyard, Laois/Crettyard, Carlow

Jo Kelly (nee McCall), Mayo, Monavea, Crettyard, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on December 24th, 2018, at her home. Beloved wife of Peader, much loved mother of Danielle, Samantha, Tracy, Charmaine, Hugh, Jeff and Annmarie adored grandmother of Kyran.

Reposing at her home (Eircode R93 N1W1) from 6pm on Thursday with Prayers at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon in The Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mayo.

Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Sarcoma Cancer Research. House private Friday please.

Simon Walsh, Fairgreen, Portlaoise, and formerly of Clonard, Mountrath, Co Laois. Died 23rd December 2018 (unexpectedly) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Deeply regretted by his heart-broken parents Martin and Mary, children Miya and Callum, partner Shauna, brothers Stephen and Lorcan, grandmother Mary, aunts, uncles, extended family, neighbours and friends. Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, on St. Stephen’s evening from 7 o’clock, with Rosary at 9 o’clock. Removal on Thursday (27th December) to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath. House Strictly Private Please by Request.

Coolnaugh, Ballickmoyler, Carlow/Ballickmoyler, Laois

Patricia (Patty) Power (neé Molamphy)of Coolnaugh, Ballickmoyler, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 23rd, 2018 at The District Hospital, Carlow. Beloved wife of the late Jim, much loved mother of Kathleen, Margaret, Anne, Patricia, Michael and James (Jim) and cherished sister of Kathleen, Jimmy and the late Annie. She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, sister, brother, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen from 2p.m on Wednesday (St. Stephen’s Day) with removal at 6.30p.m to St Abban’s Church, Killeen (via her residence) arriving at 7p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11a.m. followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

John Brennan, Ballyquaid, Ballybrophy, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Dec. 23. 2018 (Tragically following a car accident). Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Sean and Martina, his brothers and sisters, Caroline, Marie, Daniel, Katie, Cillian and Eoin, uncles, aunts, brothers in law, sister in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends. Reposing at his home in Ballyquaid this Monday evening (Christmas Eve) from 7 o’c with rosary in the house at 9 o’c, and on Tuesday (Christmas Day) with rosary in the house at 8 o’c. Funeral Mass on Wednesday (St. Stephen’s Day) in Killasmeestia Church at 1.30 pm. with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private please on Wednesday morning.

CULLINANE, Michael, (Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Mountrath, Co. Laois, former NT at Ashford, Co. Wicklow and Drimnagh Castle). December 23rd 2018, (peacefully) in the wonderful care of the staff in Newtownpark House, Blackrock, Co. Dublin Predeceased by his wife Phyllis, daughter Hilda and brother John. Much loved father of Fiona. Sadly missed by his sisters Mary and Rita, his brother Denis, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbours. Reposing at his family home on Wednesday 26th December from 4pm-8pm, with removal to St. John the Baptist Church, Blackrock for Funeral Mass at 10am on Thursday 27th December followed by burial in Shanganagh Cemetery.

Sean, (formerly of Durrow, Co Laois and The Irish Prison Services) peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Loving husband of Teresa and dear father of Caroline, Eileen, Yvonne, Deirdre, Kathleen and Sean. Sadly missed by his family, his adored 11 grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister Margaret, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many dear friends. Reposing at his daughter Eileen’s home at 2 Ashewood Green, Ashbourne (A84N231) from 6 o clock to 8 o clock this Sunday evening. Removal tomorrow, Monday morning, to the Church Of The Immaculate Conception, Ashbourne, arriving for Funeral Mass at 9 o clock. Burial afterwards in St Declan’s Cemetery, Ashbourne.
