Rathdowney-Errill past and present to meet in fundraising game

SHARE

There’s always a great selection of fun games on around Christmas – and the lads in Rathdowney-Errill are gathering on Sunday for a game between past and present players.

This game was due to be on St Stephen’s Day but was postponed as a mark of respect to the late Johnny Brennan, who was killed in a car accident on Sunday last near Ballybrophy.

The game will throw in at 12noon tomorrow, December 30, in the Rathdowney hurling field and will see the ‘Legends’ of Rathdowney-Errill take on the current players.

Registration for the game is at 11.30am and there is a cost of €10 per player.

All of the money raised is going towards the Hurling Field Development Fund.

Refreshments and raffle afterwards.

For further information, contact PJ on 087 6161867, Joe on 1654629 or Shane on 086 8863876.

The pace mightn’t be championship-like but the craic should be good – and all for a good cause.
