It is a massive day in the 2018 GAA season – although we are in 2019.
The U-21 football championship, in both grades, has three huge games taking place around the county this afternoon.
These matches were supposed to take place last year but varying different complications led to them being put off until now.
Silverware will be on the line in Annanough as the U-21 ‘B’ final sees O’Dempsey’s face The Heath at 12pm.
O’Dempsey’s have players like Mark Barry, Shane Nerney, Dan McCormack, Tom Kelly and Johnny Kelly in their ranks – lads who played big roles in their run to the senior final in 2018.
Meanwhile, The Heath enjoyed a big win over Rosenallis in the semi final and have players like PJ Daly, Liam Kinsella, Neil Keane, James Phelan and Dylan Kavanagh in their team.
Meanwhile, the two U-21 ‘A’ semi finals also throw in at 12pm in Ratheniska and Stradbally.
Favourites Portarlington will take on Portlaoise in Ratheniska while St Joseph’s face Ballyroan-Abbey Gaels in Stradbally at the same time.
We will have reporters at all venues and we will brings you updates from the games as they happen below:
