In Pictures: Laois’s success at the Leinster U14 camogie development blitz

Laois camogie had great success at the Leinster U14 Development Blitz in Rathleague, with two teams being entered for the occasion.

Laois Blue competed in division one, where they won the shield, while Laois White entered into division four, where they won the Cup.
Laois Blue entering as a division one side was a huge challenge but the girls gratefully took on the task.

First up they played Wexford and won on a double score of 4-8 to 2-4.

Next up was Kilkenny which was a tough battle against strong  a strong Cats side. The Marble County cmae away winners with 3-7 to Laois’s 2-2.

Their last game was against Dublin, which saw a strong encounter with two very evenly matched teams. The Dubs just clipped Laois by a point – finishing 2-4 to Laois’s 2-3.

This put Laois in the division one shield final where they had a good win over Wexford. The shield final finished Laois 2-4 Wexford 0-1.

Laois White played in division four where they recorded strong victories in all five games.

The games results as follows;

Laois 2-3
Kildare 0-0

Laois 7-2
Wicklow 1-0

Laois 4-4
Offaly 0-0

Laois 3-1
Meath 4-1

This put Laois White in division four Cup final versus Meath.
This was very evenly matched game but Laois just held the gap to win 1-2 to 1-0.
