In Pictures: Laois ladies football and camogie development squads record final wins

Last weekend marked hugely beneficial competitions for Laois development squads in both camogie and ladies football.

In camogie, the Laois Blues won their final in the Dublin Camogie U14 Development Blitz.

The Laois Whites were in hard luck as they lost out to Galway in their final, but the girls were commended on getting that far in the competition.

Meanwhile in ladies football, Laois had two teams competing at the Leinster U12 Blitz in Rathleague.

All the girls really showed the benefit of attending the development training in recent months as they produced some wonderful football throughout the day.

The icing on the cake came at the end of the day when they beat Meath 4-06 to 1-02 in the Division 2 Final.

The squad will have a break now and then come back to prepare for the second Leinster blitz in September.

Training will start again on Sunday July 27 at 9.30am in the pitch behind Portlaoise College.

Any girls born in 2007 who have not been able to attend the training up to now are very welcome to come along.
