LIVE BLOG: Follow all the action from a triple-header in the Laois SFC

Brought to you in association with Kinsella Financial

We’re back in O’Moore this afternoon as the latest round of the SFC concludes with a triple-header of games.

The action gets underway at 1pm as Stradbally take on The Heath in a relegation semi-final.

Stradbally were well beaten by Killeshin in the first round before Emo got the better of them in Round 2 to condemn them to relegation phase of the championship.

The Heath faced a tough task in Round 1 facing off against Portarlington, a game in which the maroon outfit won comfortably.

Round 2 seen them square up with St Joseph’s. They lost by four points which meant a drop to the relegation semi-finals.

Round 3 then nears it’s conclusion as Emo take on Graiguecullen at 2.30pm.

Emo and Ballyroan-Abbey played out two stunning games of football after a late Nigel Murphy goal had forced a replay.

Ballyroan-Abbey winning out by a singe-point in the replay.

Emo then met Stradbally in Round 2 where they defeated the 2016 county champions to progress to Round 3.

Graiguecullen were made to work for their victory over Ballyfin in Round 1. They faced last year’s beaten finalists O’Dempsey’s in Round 2.

O’Dempsey’s came out on top winning by three points and securing their quarter-final place, while Graiguecullen were destined for Round 3.
