The Rising Stars camogie camp that took place in Clonad GAA on the last week of the summer holidays went down a major success.
Organisers of the camp and current Laois camogie players Laura Dunne, Joan Dollard and Rosemarie Bermingham pulled together an incredible camp which filled to capacity with 144 young girls from the ages of 7-15.
The coaches that helped during the week were Ashling O’Dea, Roisin Kilmartin, Joyce Dunne, Aoife Hyland, Aisling Burke, Claire Walsh, Elaine Spencer, Eimear Dunphy, Clodagh Tynan and Aoife Phelan who are all players themselves and their knowledge of the game and enthusiasm for Camogie is what made this camp so successful.
Jerseys for the camp were supplied by Holland Handcrafted Hurls.
The U-16 and minor Laois Camogie teams made a visit with their silverware to the camp along with Laois Hurler and Vice Capatain Joe Phelan with the Joe McDonagh cup .
LaoisToday paid a visit to meet the kids and coaches to get some photos from the Rising Stars camp.
