Camross charity truck and tractor run set to take place this weekend

A charity truck and tractor run will be taking place in Camross on October 12.

This run in is aid of Down Syndrome Irelands “Laois Branch”.

They are currently raising money for the “field of dreams ” Employment training center of excellence.

The organizers have decided to hold the run for this cause for the 2nd year in a row as they have such a mountain to climb to make this dream a reality and are so appreciative to any help they receive.

There was an amazing turn out of trucks and tractors from all over the country last year and it is hoped that this year will be bigger and better.

There was also great support from the community and families highly involved with this cause and that is why there are excited to do it all over again.

Registration starts from 3.30pm and is leaving the village at 6pm.

Entry fee is 30 euro for a truck and 20 euro for a tractor.

Big raffle on the night with great prizes for truck and Tractor drivers.

There will also be a separate raffle where the tickets are 10 euro each and the prize here is 1,000 cash!

To top the event off there will be a BBQ on the night in Bergins The Camross Inn with music by The Dooley Brothers.
