Dalton Michael, Borris Little, Portlaoise and late of Borris, Co. Carlow. August 27th 2020. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Margaret. Dearly loved father to Andrew, Patrick, Patricia, Michael, Catriona, Fergal, Rosemary and Martina. Cherished fifteen grandchildren. Deeply regretted by his loving family, brothers Séan and Tom, sisters Shile and Rosemary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Given the current exceptional circumstances and to protect the welfare of everyone who knew him, a private funeral, with immediate family only, will take place at 12 noon on Saturday in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise and will be streamed on the webcam http://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/web-cam/. Burial afterwards in St. Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to Charity.

Patrick Kerry, Coolbanagher, Emo, Portlaoise, 27th August 2020, beloved husband of the late Eileen (Joyce) and the dearly loved father of Eileen, Frances, John & Joseph, passed away peacefully in his 90th year, surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the staff of St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen. Sadly missed by his daughters and sons, his brother Bill in USA and sister Babs in the UK, his grandchildren; Patrick, Fiachra, Muireann, Ríona, Alice & Paul, daughter-in-law, Deirdre & son-in-law, Paul La Rosa, his extended family, neighbours & friends.

Removal on Saturday morning from Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise, to St. Peter’s & Paul’s Church, Emo to arrive for 10am requiem Mass, with burial afterwards in St. Peters & Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Family flowers only, donations if desired to the Patients Fund, St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions and in the interest of the public safety the funeral Mass is for family and close neighbours. Those who would like to attend are welcome to stand along the route through Emo village, or in the vicinity of the church or cemetery so long as social distancing guidelines are observed at all times. The family would like to thank everyone for their help and support at this time, especially those who cared for Dad at St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen.

Belgard Heights, Tallaght, Dublin / Borris-in-Ossory, Laois / Johnstownbridge, Kildare

Tess (Essie) Costigan (nee Delaney) Belgard Heights, Tallaght, Co. Dublin and late of Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois August 25th 2020, passed away peacefully at her family home. Cherished wife of the Late Joe. Deeply regretted by her loving sons, daughters, brother, sister, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbours.

A private family funeral will take place on Friday at 10am in St Mark’s Church, Springfield due to government advice regarding public gatherings. Those who would have liked to attend the funeral, but due to the current situation cannot are invited to leave a personal message for Tess’s family in the “condolences” section below. Family Flowers only with donations, if desired, to Our Lady’s Hospice, Harold’s Cross. The funeral mass will be livestreamed on the parish Facebook page of Springfield, Brookfield and Jobstown.

Dan Goulding, Drummond, Rosenallis, Co. Laois, August 25th 2020. Passed away, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family in the tender care of the staff of St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen. Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, daughters Norah, Breda, Patricia and Gemma, brother Tom, sisters Winnie, Bridie, Essie and Christina, grandchildren, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Funeral Mass on Thursday (August 27th) at 2.30pm in St. Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis, with burial afterwards in Rosenallis Cemetery. Family flowers only, please.

Due to Covid 19 restrictions and in the interest of the public safety, the funeral Mass is for family only. People who wish to pay their respects may do so by lining out along the route to the church, assembling in the church yard and cemetery. Please observe social distancing guidelines.

Nora Copeland (neé Kirwan), Drim, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 25th August 2020, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her loving husband Ronnie, sisters Dolie and Sheila. Survived by her son James and daughter Ann (Heffernan), daughter-in-law Sue, son-in-law Mick, grandson Paul, granddaughter Elaine, sisters Noelle (Geoghegan), Betty (Dowling) and Anne (Murphy), brothers Sean (Kirwan), brothers-in-law Timmy (Murphy) and Brian (Copeland), nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Removal on Thursday morning from Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown for a family Funeral Mass at 11.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.

Those who would like to attend are welcome to stand along the route, or in the vicinity of the church or cemetery so long as social distancing is observed at all times.
