Laois café features on Virgin Media’s #BackingBusiness initiative

The Cosy Café in Mountrath has been unveiled as one of the latest companies to be featured as part of Virgin Media’s #BackingBusiness initiative.

The campaign has smashed through its goal of delivering over €1 million worth of promotional support to Irish businesses across the country. The café has secured a feature on Ireland AM.

Established in 2010 by Mountrath native, Sinead Hanlon, the café prides itself on serving high quality coffee and is a firm favourite destination with locals, cyclists, walkers, day trippers and tourists who love the picnic options, breakfast and lunch dishes and take out menu.

The café and bakery also makes freshly baked goods such as bread and cakes for special occasions.

Sinead Hanlon the owner of The Cosy Café said, “We are delighted to have been selected by Virgin Media to be part of its ‘Backing Business’ campaign.

“As a small business it’s difficult to promote ourselves and of course we don’t have a big marketing budget at all!

“It’s so exciting to have our lovely business, The Cosy Café, on Ireland AM and we are most grateful for the opportunity to share our story and what we do with the station’s viewers.

“Thank you to the team at Virgin Media and Ireland AM, we are most grateful for your help.”

With over 220 businesses featured throughout the course of the campaign, the value delivered is now standing at over €1 million and still growing.

Since launching in May, #BackingBusiness has featured hundreds of businesses across our TV network and social media platforms.

Many challenges remain for Irish businesses across the nation as they reopen their doors and we want to continue to help them get back on their feet.

Any businesses willing to feature can contact backingbusiness@virginmedia.ie.
