Michael (Mick) Duff
Mountrath, Laois / Drimnagh, Dublin

Duff, Michael (Mick) (Drimnagh, Dublin 12, late of Coolnacarte, Mountrath, Co. Laois and formerly of Esso Ireland), January 5th, 2020 suddenly at St. James’ Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Rita and loving father of Fintan, Marian, Yvonne, Michael, Edel and special son Ken. Sadly missed by his heartbroken family, 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, brother, sisters, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, great neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace.

A private family funeral will take place due to Government advice regarding public gatherings. In compliance with the current HSE guidelines, the funeral will be limited to 10 people. Michael’s Funeral Mass can be viewed on Saturday morning, January 9th, 2020, at 10am on the following link https://www.mcnmedia.tv/camera/our-lady-of-good-counsel . The Funeral Cortège will pass Michael’s residence both before and after Mass, those wishing to line the route are welcome to do so, while observing all guidelines relating to social distancing.

Paddy Dunne
Colliers Lane, Portlaoise, Laois

Died January 5th 2021 in the loving care of the staff at Droimnin Nursing Home, Stradbally. Predeceased by his dear wife Angela, brother Sean, sisters Molly, Bridie, Kitty, and Peg. Deeply regretted by his son John, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Rest In Peace.

Requiem Mass on Friday at 12 noon in SS. Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise and will be streamed live on portlaoiseparish.ie. Burial afterwards in SS Peter & Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Due to Covid restrictions Paddy’s Funeral will be private. Sympathisers are welcome in the church & cement grounds and along the route to the cemetery.

Liam Carroll
The Buildings, Courtwood, Ballybrittas, Laois

Liam passed away suddenly but peacefully in his 92nd year at his residence in the company of his loving family. Sadly missed by his loving and devoted wife Theresa and children Alice, Bill, John Bosco, Pat, David, Oonagh and Philip, his 16 grandchildren, daughters in law, son in law, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Due to the Covid 19 restrictions a private family funeral will take place. Removal from his residence on Friday morning at 11.20 to arrive at the Sacred Heart church Rath for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in the new cemetery Emo. Liams Requiem Mass will be lived streamed.

Sympathisers are welcome to stand along the route to the church and in the precincts of the cemetery grounds. Social distancing to be observed at all times please. The Carroll family would like to thank you for your co-operation, understanding and support during this sensitive and difficult time.

Padraig O’Meara
Knockalton, Nenagh, Tipperary/Kildare/Laois

The death has occurred of Pádraig O’Meara, Knockalton, Nenagh, Co. Tipperary (January 5th 2021) peacefully, in the tender care of the staff of Nenagh Manor Nursing Home, in his 76thyear. Predeceased by his parents Pádraig and Kathleen (Tyone, Nenagh) and beloved sister Máire. Dearly loved brother of Philomena, Treasa (Brennan), Martin and Ciarán (Portlaoise). Lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.

Due to current guidelines regarding Covid-19 a family funeral will take place. arriving at St. Mary’s of the Rosary Church, Nenagh on Thursday, 7th of January, for Requiem Mass at 1 o’c. Followed by Burial afterwards in Lisboney New Cemetery.

Those who would like to have attended the Mass but cannot may view it on the church livestream at www.nenaghparish.ie or on radio 106.2fm.
