Brigid (B) Lawlor (née Kennedy)
Ballyroan Road, Abbeyleix, Laois

Formerly of New York. Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, after an illness bravely fought. Predeceased by her sister Sadie. Beloved wife of Tom, loving mother of Sheila and Garrett and devoted grandmother to Alex, she will be sadly missed by her brothers Dick and Jim Kennedy, son-in-law Ciaran Toner, sisters-in-law Deirdre Kennedy, Pat Lawlor and Judy Campbell, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, family relatives, carers and friends.

REST IN PEACE.

Family flowers only by request. Donations in lieu if desired to Abbeyleix District Hospital. Due to Covid – 19 Directive a private family funeral will take place. Brigid’s Requiem Mass will be live streamed from The Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix at 12 noon on Thursday on https://abbeyleixparish.ie/webcam/

Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Those who wish can line the route or attend the graveyard while social distancing.

John (Ulick) Conroy
Beladd, Portlaoise, Laois

John (Ulick) Conroy. Beladd. Portlaoise. January 31st 2021. Peacefully at St James’ Hospital. Surrounded by his loving family. Dearly beloved husband of Betty, much loved father to Conor, Audrey and Rory. Sadly missed by son-in-law Fergal and daughter-in-law Zoe. Cherished grandad to TJ, Nadine, Dara and Odin. Deeply regretted by his brother Joe, sisters Ann, Rita, Mary and Eleanor, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of friends.

Due to current government advice regarding public gatherings, a private family funeral will take place, for family only, in St Peter and Paul’s Church on Wedneday at 12 noon. The Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam: https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ Interment afterwards in St Peter and Paul’s Cemetery.

Friends and neighbours are very welcome to line the route to the cemetery in a safe and socially-distanced manner, as a mark of respect.

Sinéad Ní Nualláin
The Vale, Graiguecullen, Carlow / Graiguecullen, Laois

The untimely and sudden passing of our beautiful Graiguecullen girl, Sinéad Ní Nualláin, has occurred. Beloved daughter of Séamus and Jane Nolan, adored sister of James (Danny, Belle, Bob, Maggie, Dotty, Wisp, Katie and Seve), cherished sister-in-law of Magdalena and much loved aunt of Emily, Peter, Kate, Danny, Páraic and Eliza. She will be sadly missed by grand aunt, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Sinead was blessed with a wide circle of friends, especially “cuz” Sharon, “her two blisters”, her ladies, school friends, college crew, Gaeilgeoirí and her many wonderful work colleagues, most recently those from Gaelscoil Átha Í and Gaelscoil Phortlaoise.

Philomena (Phil) Mahony
Clonageera, Durrow, Laois

Suddenly. Predeceased by her parents Kieran and Elizabeth and her sister Mai. Phil will be greatly missed by her brother Jim, sister Dolores, sister-in-law Emily, nephews, nieces, grand nephews, grand nieces, relatives, her lifelong neighbours and friends.

Rest in Peace

Michael O’Brien
Kilamuck, Abbeyleix, Laois

Hong Kong and late of Kilamuck Abbeyleix, Michael, beloved son of the late Gladys and Pat O’Brien and brother of Kevin, Tony and the late Denis. Deeply regretted by his brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He will be dearly missed by his many close friends in Hong Kong, in whose kindest care he passed away, and also by his many former teaching staff, colleagues and devoted pupils.

Michael wished his remains to be donated to medical and scientific research. A memorial service will held in Hong Kong and will be available to join/link.This website will be updated with the link over the coming days.
