Laois senior football manager Mike Quirke has named his starting 15 for Sunday’s opening round of Division 2 of the National Football League.
For the first time since the All Ireland Qualifier against Cork in 2019, Donie Kingston starts for Laois having sat out last season before returning to the panel.
He is named at full-forward with his brother Paul and Killeshin’s Eoin Lowry either side of him.
Evan O’Carroll is named at centre-forward but there is no starting place for Gary Walsh who is named on the bench.
Colm Begley returns to start at centre-back having missed last year’s championship due to injury while fellow experienced campaigners like full-back Mark Timmons and midfielders John O’Loughlin and Kieran Lillis give the side a familiar look.
Ross Munnelly, who is beginning his 19th season with Laois, is among the subs.
Sunday’s game is not on TV, but it will be streamed live on GAAGO.
While as always, we will keep you up to date with the game as it happens via our Live Blog.
