After a very busy Wednesday evening of GAA games in the county, there were six down for decision tonight.
The Heath reached the 2020 U-13 ‘B’ Shield football final as they defeated Rosenallis. They will now face the winners of St Pauls and Kilcavan-The Rock.
Action also got underway in two groups of the hurling league as Castletown and Mountrath had victories in Group B while Mountmellick got off to a good start in Group A.
Tonight also saw the start of the brand new minor development league.
As the minor football and hurling championships at county level are not kicking off for another couple of weeks, Laois GAA decided to run a competition for clubs excluding those county players in a bid to get hurling and football for all.
