Lotto players urged to check their tickets after Laois store sells €100,000 winner

The National Lottery is urging players to check their tickets after a Laois shop sold a winning ticket of almost €100,000.

The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased on the day of the Wednesday’s draw in the Supervalu shop at Parkside on the Abbeyleix Road in Portlaoise.

The ticket holder came within one number of the €6,964,057 jackpot too.

The winning numbers for Wednesday night’s Lotto draw were: 20, 24, 27, 32, 39, 43 and the bonus was 25.

Wayne Frawley is the Manager of Supervalu Parkside.

He said that everyone got a lift from the news of the winning ticket this morning.

He said: “It really is great news.

“We are all hoping that the winner is a local or one of our regular customers.

“Everyone has gone through hard times lately so hopefully this win can bring some joy to someone.

“We hope they come forward soon.”

The winning ticket holder is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to contact the prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie so arrangements can be made for them to claim their prize.
