LIVE BLOG: Follow all the action as the Laois hurlers face Westmeath in Division 1 league relegation playoff

The Laois hurlers face Westmeath today in the National Hurling League Division 1 relegation playoff.

Laois won the coin toss and the game will take place in O’Moore Park at 7pm this evening.

Laois lost every game in the league while Westmeath also lost all of their games too.

This meant both sides finished bottom of their respective groups and whoever loses will be replaced in Division 1 for 2022 by Offaly.

Laois have some momentum going into this game with a win against Antrim in the championship before getting knocked out by Waterford in Nowlan Park last week.

Westmeath won the Joe McDonagh Cup last weekend after a comprehensive victory over Kerry.

This will be Laois’ last game of the 2021 campaign and if they play with the same freedom they have played with in the previous two games they will be in with a shout for a victory tonight.

You can follow all the action as it happens below with throw in at 7pm.
