The HSE has confirmed that the mass vaccination centre in the Midlands Park Hotel in Portlaoise will operate as a ‘walk-in’ facility for two hours on Friday morning.
Between 8.30am and 10.30am, those aged over 16 will be able to get dose 1 or 2 of the Pfizer vaccine without an appointment.
If attending Pfizer dose two clinics, people are asked to ensure that there is a minimum of 21 days after first vaccination has been received.
If people are unavailable tomorrow, the HSE has also announced details of a similar walk-in clinic.
The Tullamore vaccination centre will open for walk-in Pfizer clinics on Thursday August 26.
The walk-in clinic for people aged 16 and over will occur at 09.15am to 12.30pm.
While a walk-in clinic for 12-15 year olds only will occur from 1.30pm to 4pm.
