JOB VACANCY: ‘Passionate Retail Champion’ required for Nook and Cranny in Portlaoise

Nook and Cranny

Folks, we have an exciting opportunity for a ‘professional and friendly retail advisor’ to join us and assist in always making a visit to Nook and Cranny, very special indeed…

We opened in 2015 and have been described as ‘one of those incredible little independent stores we all love to stumble upon … crammed with unexpected and original gift ideas’.

There have been a couple of really great awards along the way … (which keeps us on our tootsies!) and ensures we not only stay ‘sound’ …. but continue to deliver kudos ‘by the bucketload’…. ? for all of our gift-seeking friends of Nook and Cranny!

  • REI 2021 Top 125 Store in Ireland
  • REI National Gift Store Of The Year 2019 ??
  • Midlands103 Best Gift Store 2019 ?

The person we seek will have:

  • A natural flair for customer service which means an ability to listen and a genuine desire to help.
  • An eagerness to learn is more important than prior retail experience – although some previous retail knowledge may be an advantage.
  • There will be exposure in many areas of the business and this may include some work on our webstore – nookandcranny.ie
  • In any case, our new colleague will be energetic, enthusiastic and have a real ‘can-do’ / ‘let’s-do’ attitude
  • Taking their role and responsibilities seriously and working very much as a proud team member.

This role is part-time and permanent with a minimum 28-hour per week contract.

To Apply

Applications must include a CV which can be sent in confidence to smile@nookandcranny.ie by Friday, September 3, 2021.

“And hey, if this sounds like you, don’t delay – we can’t wait to meet you”
