All of Monday’s Laois GAA results as Junior ‘C’ hurling finalists confirmed

Castletown and Clonaslee will contest the 2021 Junior ‘C’ hurling championship final following tonight’s semi finals.

Castletown enjoyed a 12 point win over a youthful Abbeyleix in the Centre of Excellence.

They led 0-10 to 0-6 at half time but it was in the third quarter where the victors pulled away.

Seamus Lyons top scored with 1-6 for the Division 5 league champions while senior manager Paddy Mullaney chipped in with 1-4.

In the other semi final, Clonaslee were very comfortable winners over Clough-Ballacolla.

Former Laois player James Young top scored with 2-8 while Shay Foynes gave an exhibition in midfield with seven points.

They held Clough-Ballacolla scoreless until the 25th minute and were always on top.

That final is scheduled for Wednesday September 8.
