Abbeyleix Further Education & Training Centre welcomes applications for the new academic year.

The Centre has a wide range of courses, including:

  • Healthcare Support QQI Level 5
  • Business Studies  – Finance and Administration QQI Level 5
    (Part-time Options available)
  • Business Studies  – Banking and Insurance QQI Level 5
    (Part-time Options available)
  • Business Management with Finance QQI Level 6
    (Part-time Options available)
  • General Studies QQI Level 4
    (includes options in Art, Healthcare and IT)
  • Art, Craft, Design QQI Level 5  
  • Art with Animation QQI Level 5 
  • Art QQI Level 6 

Places are currently available on the Healthcare Support, Business Management, Business Studies and Return to Learning (General Studies) programmes.  Interviews are ongoing and courses are due to commence the week of 13th September.  

Transport is available from Portarlington, Mountmellick and Portlaoise to the Abbeyleix Campus.  From September 2021 transport will be available from the Mountrath and Rathdowney areas.  Transport details are currently being finalised and will be available next week. There are no bus fees for the coming academic year.

Congratulations to all the students who received their Leaving Certificate results. If you would like some advice regarding available Further Education and Training options, please don’t hesitate to contact the Centre. Our Career Guidance teacher will be available next week to advise you regarding course options.
