It’s another busy day of action on the Laois GAA club scene with three big games down for decision.

First up is the Junior ‘A’ hurling final between neighbours Ballypickas and Abbeyleix.

Ballypickas will be seeking to make an immediate return to the intermediate grade after being relegated last year.

They won this grade in 2017 with a thrilling win over Rathdowney-Errill’s third team and have a proud record in the Junior ‘A’ grade over the years.

When the sides met in the group stages, they drew thanks to a couple of late Ballypickas points. Today’s final throws in at 3.30pm.

The two Premier IHC semi-finals are then on at 5.30pm and 7pm.

Camross and Ballyfin meet in the first semi-final with the latter being favourites.

While the big game of the day then seeing the 2020 beaten finalists Portlaoise meeting last year’s relegated senior team Ballinakill.
