Two Laois businesses to feature at Showcase – Ireland’s International Creative Expo

Showcase 2022

Two Laois businesses will be taking part in Showcase in the RDS this week, Ireland’s renowned creative trade expo that includes 300 exhibitors and attracts over 4,000 visitors from Ireland and overseas.

Yvonne Bolger Jewellery, which is based in Emo, and Vale Ceramics from Barrowhouse will show their products to buyers from home and abroad from today until Wednesday.

Yvonne Bolger designs and handcrafts pieces in Sterling Silver and Gold taking inspiration from Ireland’s rich mythology and landscape.

Vale Ceramics is owned by South Africa-Italian ceramic artist Vale van der Merwe who lives in Barrowhouse.

Showcase is an annual destination for retail buyers from Ireland and more than 20 other countries, including the UK, USA, Mainland Europe and Asia, all keen to see the very latest designs from Ireland’s top brands and craft producers. It is only open to retailers.

The fair is an international launch pad for the 300 Irish designers, manufacturers and craftspeople who unveil their new season collections across fashion, jewellery, home and giftware.

Showcase was founded in 1976 by Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI) and is delivered with support from Enterprise Ireland and the Local Enterprise Offices. It generates over €20 million of sales orders over the four days of the show.

After a break to the physical show in 2021 due to the pandemic, this year’s event is a new hybrid trade only show (both an in person and digital event).

You can check out Yvonne Bolger Jewellery’s website here and the Vale Ceramics website here.

Showcase takes place from Sunday, February 27, to Wednesday, March 2.
