Sadness in Ballybrittas and surrounding areas at death of Johnny Doonan

There is sadness in Ballybrittas and the surrounding areas following the death of Johnny Doonan.

A former employee of the ESB, Johnny was known far and wide, both through his work there and from a mechanic business that he ran from the family home at Belgrove just down from Ballybrittas village.

A gentleman, who’ll be remembered for his courteous nature and obliging manner by the many people he dealt with over the years.

He was the loving husband of the late Betty and dear brother of the late Anna.

Deeply regretted by his loving daughter Lorna, sons John, David, Trevor and Adrian, sisters Phyllis, Yvonne, Helen and Violet, grandchildren, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his daughter Lorna Corcoran’s residence Courtwood, Ballybrittas (eircode R32 XF9Y) on Friday evening from 6pm until 9pm.

Reposing on Saturday evening from 3pm with prayers at 8pm.

Removal on Sunday afternoon at 2.20pm arriving The Church of The Ascension Rathdaire, Ballybrittas (eircode R32 H395) for Funeral Service at 3pm.

Burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Emo.
