Margaret (Peggy) Brennan (née Nicholson) of “St. Joseph’s”, Doonane, Crettyard, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully, Surrounded by her loving family, on May 13th, 2022, at Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise.

Beloved wife of the late Tom, much loved mother of Mary, John and the late Catherine, adored grandmother of Margaret, Kathleen, Keith, Veronica, Laura, Eugenie, Rachel and Sophie, cherished sister of Sean (Oxford), Collette Lavery (Limerick) and the late Kathleen Brennan (Danesford) and son-in-law Eugene.

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter, son, grandchildren, her 8 great-grandchildren, son-in-law, brother, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her home (Eircode R93 Y0F2) from 2p.m on Saturday with removal at 6.45p.m. to St. Abban’s Church, Doonane, arriving at 7.20p.m for Funeral Prayers. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 12 noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Eamon Hughes
Newcastle, Dublin/Mountmellick, Laois

Hughes (Newcastle and formerly of Mountmellick, Co Laois) – May 12, 2022, (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family, at home, Eamon, beloved husband of Eileen and dear father of Neil, Emma, Rory and Enda; Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter, brother Joe, sisters Kathleen and Esther, son-in-law Christian, daughters-in-law Paula, Karen and Nora, brother-in-law Jimmy, sister-in-law Ann, grandchildren Karl, Chloe, Jack, Faye, Arran, Danny, Cillian, Ruby, Katie, Evie, Billy, Conor and Harry, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Sunday from 2pm to 8pm. Removal on Monday to St. Finian’s Church, Newcastle arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Newcastle Cemetery. Enquiries to Murphy Brothers Funeral Directors Church Lane, Naas Ph: 045 897397.

Evelyn Kehoe (née Swan)
Main Street, Stradbally, Laois/Carlow/Dundalk, Louth

Evelyn Kehoe, née Swan (Publican) Main Street, Stradbally, Laois & formerly Carlow and Dundalk. Peacefully, on the 11th of May 2022 at The Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Predeceased, by her husband, Clement and her Parents, Garda Daniel and Mary Swan, brother, Daniel and her sister Anne.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered, by her sons, Paul, Niall, Mark and Clem, daughters, Nessa and Nicola, sister, Josephine, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, son-in-law Damien, daughters-in-law, Genevieve and Frances, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at her home, Main Street, Stradbally on Friday, May 13th. House Strictly Private for family only. Requiem Mass on Saturday, May 14th, at 2pm in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally and afterwards Evelyn will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery.

Eileen Kelly (née Maher)
Kylebeg Estate, Stradbally, Laois

Eileen Kelly (nee Maher), Kylebeg Estate, Stradbally, Co Laois.Passed away peacefully at home on the 11th of May, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Elsie and Jimmy, brothers Joe and Jim, sister Betty and granddaughter Aoibhnait. Deeply missed and loved by her adored husband Ted, daughter Mary and Son Niall, grandchildren Chloe, Enda, Deavon and Rhianna, son in law Paul, daughter in law Annette, brothers Paddy, Liam and John, sister Mary, sisters in law Nan, Mary, Betty and Helen, beloved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence from 4pm today, (Thursday) with recital of the rosary on Thursday and Friday at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally, at 12 noon. Eileen will then be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.

Patricia (Patty) O’Halloran (née Cullen)
Carlow Road, Abbeyleix, Laois/Tinahely, Wicklow

Formerly of Tinahely, Co. Wicklow. Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her mother Bridget (Pearl), father Christie, and sister Phyllis. Sadly missed by her family and by her many kind neighbours and friends. Devoted wife to John, dearly loved mother to Kieran, Enda, David, Karen and Donal. Cherished sister to Marie, Joan, Rosemary,Tony, Michael and Gerry. Loving grandmother to Amy, Daniel, Christopher, Aoibhin and Charlie. Dearly missed by her daughter-in-law Mairead and son-in-law Mark.

Reposing at The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix from 5pm.to 7pm. on Friday, 13th May. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am.in The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix. Burial afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
