John Tobin, Ossory Terrace, Rathdowney, Co. Laois and formerly Cloonfree, Strokestown, Co Roscommon and Dundrum, Dublin. June 11th 2022, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Sadly missed by his wife, Collette and his daughters Tara and Jennifer, son-in-law Eoin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Brendan, Frank and Pat, sisters, Marie and Olive, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O’ Sullivan’s funeral home, Rathdowney on Tuesday evening from 7:pm with prayers at 8:pm. Funeral mass on Wednesday at 11:am in The church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney (parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney). followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery, Rathdowney. Family flowers only by request, donations to the Irish Heart Foundation.

Bernie Woods (née Kelly)
Laois / Ballinode, Monaghan

WOODS (née Kelly) Bernie (late of Co. Laois and the Dept of Agriculture, Portlaosie, formerly of Ballinode, Co. Monaghan) June 9th 2022. Passed peacefully after a short illness in the loving care of her family and the staff of St. James’s Hospital, Dublin 8. Beloved mother of Rosanna and Rachel and beloved sister of Gerard, Frank, Margaret and the late Marie. Sadly missed by her family, grandchildren Peggy-Rose, Evan, Bobby, AJ and Sophia, Rachel’s partner Anthony, brothers-in-law John and Paddy, sisters-in-law Maureen and Vivienne, her nieces and nephews Mark, Jillian, Lynsey, Suzanne, Rosaleen, Emma and Ann, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Bernie’s humanist cremation service will take place on Thursday afternoon, June 16th, at 2pm at Glasnevin Crematorium Chapel, Glasnevin Cemetery. No flowers please. Eilish Hennessy (née Kinsella)
Chapel Street, Ballyroan, Laois

Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved sister of the late Margaret and James. Deeply regretted by her loving family, husband Mortimer, son Eimhín, his partner Edel, daughters Múire, Anita and Trish, her partner Jamie, grandchildren Aubree and Jack, relatives, neighbours and close circle of friends.

Reposing at her home in Ballyroan this Tuesday evening (14th) from 3.30pm with rosary at 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday (15th) at 12.00 noon in St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan followed by burial at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. House private on Wednesday morning please. Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society.

The Hennessy family wish to thank most sincerely the doctors, nurses and palliative care team for their professional care and attention, the excellent care and dedication shown to Eilish from her carers, Charlotte, Martina and Anne from the Home Instead Homecare team. Also to thank people for their genuine acts of kindness shown in recent times.
