Holohan, Stephen (Griffith Avenue, Drumcondra and formerly Portlaoise) – July 13, 2022, peacefully at home, beloved husband of Marian and much loved father of Kate; lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife and daughter, son-in-law John, his adored grandchildren John Jnr and Kora, his brothers Willie, Eamonn and Enda, sisters Brigid and Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, kind neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at the Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Monday afternoon with family in attendance from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Requiem Mass on Tuesday morning at 10 o’clock in Corpus Christi Church, Homefarm Road. Funeral thereafter to Glasnevin Cemetery.

Patricia (Trish) Finnegan (née Conroy)
Crumlin, Dublin/Rosenallis, Laois

The death of Patricia (Trish) Finnegan (née Conroy) has occurred.

Finnegan (née Conroy) Patricia (Trish), Crumlin and formerly of Rosenallis, Co. Laois – July 12th 2022, peacefully, at home. Beloved mother of Damien, Seamus, Thomas and Anne. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, brother Vin, sisters Francie, Phil, Bernie and Anna-May, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Massey Bros. Funeral Home, 177 Crumlin Road, Dublin 12 on Tuesday from 4 o’clock to 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 10 o’clock in St Agnes Church,Crumlin (if you wish to view the funeral mass, please click here), followed by burial to Newland’s Cross Cemetery.

Gerard Mulholland
Ballybeg House Barrowhouse, Athy, Kildare / Laois

Peacefully after a short illness. Predeceased by his brothers Patsy and Oweny, sisters Patricia and Philomena. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Phyllis, daughter Aisling, son in law David, grandson Gerard, family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy from 6pm to 8pm on Sunday (July 17th). Requiem mass on Monday (July 18th) in St Mary’s Church, Barrowhouse at 11am. A private cremation will take place afterwards.

Patrick (Pat) Phelan
New Line Close, Mountrath, Laois / Castletown, Laois

Patrick (Pat) Phelan (The Veg), New Line Close, Mountrath & Castletown, Co. Laois. July 13th. 2022. (peacefully) at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents William and Maureen, brothers Eamonn and Charlie, sister Carmel. Deeply regretted by his heartbroken wife Betty, sons Paul and Mark, daughter Orna, sisters Margaret, Monica, Anne and Maeve, brothers Sean and Joseph,daughter in law Caoimhe and adored grandson Fionn, Orna’s partner John, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing in Guilfoyle’s Funeral Home, Castletown (EirCode R32 TN84) this Friday evening from 5 o’c with rosary in the Funeral Home at 8 o’c. Removal from his home this Saturday morning (July 16th) to arrive at St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown (R32 KT22) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, with burial immediately afterwards in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Ballyfin.

Marie Brennan (née Mc Parland)
22 Woodford Drive, Armagh City, Armagh, BT6 02AY / Dublin / Kilkenny / Laois

Brennan (nee Mc Parland), Armagh, July 12th 2022, peacefully at Orchard Lodge care home surrounded by her loving family, Marie, beloved Wife of Geoff and loving Mother to Geoff, Deborah, Karen and Kathryn, sister of the late Attracta, Brian, Ursula, and Gerard (RIP), 22 Woodford Drive BT602AY. Marie’s remains will repose at her late home until removal on Saturday at 10.15am to St Patrick’s Cathedral for 11.00am Requiem Mass, burial afterwards is St Patrick’s cemetery. Our Lady of Knock pray for her. Very deeply regretted by her sorrowing husband, son, daughters, sons in law, daughter in law, grandchildren Leyla, Sam and Joe, sister Bernie, nephews, nieces and entire family circle. Wake strictly private please. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Alzheimer’s Society c/o Any family member.

Swords, Dublin / Rathdowney, Laois

CARROLL, Con (Swords, Co. Dublin and formerly of Rathdowney, Co. Laois) – July 13th, 2022, (peacefully) in the presence of his loving family and under the wonderful care of the staff at St. Anne’s Ward, Beaumont Hospital. Beloved father of the late David. Sadly missed by his loving wife Marie, daughters Lorraine, Aisling and Suzanne, sons-in-law Pat and Stuart, grandchildren Lauren, Daniel, Saoirse, Ronan, Calum and Millie, great-grandchildren Jack, Jorja and Danny, sister Eileen, brother-in-law Micksie, sister-in-law Mag, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday (15th July) evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Removal on Saturday (16th July) morning to St. Cronan’s Church, Brackenstown arriving for 10 a.m. Mass followed by funeral to Dardistown Crematorium. Jim Moss
Derrycloney, Mountmellick, Laois

The death has occurred of Jim Moss, Derrycloney, Mountmellick, Co. Laois. Died peacefully at home with his loving daughters, Catherine, Edelle and Eileen, and sons Tom, Brian and Alan by his side.

Predeceased by his dear wife Breda (nee Tobin), his sisters Moira and Ann and brother Ger. Deeply regretted by his sons, daughters, sisters Eileen and Frances, sons-in-law John and Fergal, granddaughters Eva, Ella and Chloe, grandsons Ted and Jim, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and his many friends and neighbours. Retired employee, Eircom (P&T).

Reposing at his home, Derrycloney, Mountmellick, R32C7H9 on Friday, 15th of July, from 5pm to 8pm. Removal from his home on Saturday, 16th July, to St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick for requiem mass at 10am with burial immediately afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Family time on Saturday morning, please.
