In Pictures: Magical evening in Vicarstown for Drive-Thru Santa experience

The small village of Vicarstown was buzzing on Saturday evening for the now-annual Drive-Thru Santa experience.

First introduced in 2020 as a response to the first Covid Christmas, the concept has grown and developed in the years since.

Organised by the juvenile section of Annanough GAA, the car park was turned into a magical Santa wonderland with Christmas lights and festive music adding to the experience.

Kids (and parents) were treated to hot chocolate and cookies on arrival by some of Santa’s hard-working elves.

And ‘Olaf’, the much-loved character from Frozen was also on site doling out sweets as the cars waited to meet the man himself.

And he was there in his grotto kindly listening to the wish lists of excited local children.
