Rita (Margaret Mary) Brophy, (née Bolger), Limerick Street, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, and formerly Fr. O’Connor Crescent, Mountrath, Co.Laois, Died 18th December 2022, (peacefully) at the Dean Maxwell Nursing Home Roscrea, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John and her son Michael.

Dear mother to Ger, Katherine, Lorraine, Philomena and Edward. Deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, extended family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Tuesday evening from 6.0’clock with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Wednesday morning to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

James (Jim) Corby, Shanavaughy, Clough, Ballacolla, Co. Laois. December 17th 2022. Peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by his sisters Ann (Dunphy), Sr. Kathleen, brother Sean and son-in-law Edward Lowry. Sadly missed by his wife Ann, daughters Paula, Deirdre and Belinda, son-in-law Alan, grandchildren, brother Liam and sisters, Sr. Teresa and Mai (Walker), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing on Tuesday at his residence (R32 HXF6) from 4pm with prayers at 8.30pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Canice’s Church, Clough, followed by interment in Clough Cemetery.

Cottie (Catherine) Kennedy (née Deegan)

Kennedy (nee Deegan) Kylebrook, Portlaoise and late of Bridge St., Dec 16th 2022. Suddenly, at her residence. Beloved wife of the late Tom. Dearly loved mother ot Fintan. Deeply regretted by her loving son, daughter in law Deirdre, granddaughter Ciara, cousins, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at the residence of her son Fintan at Kylebrook, from 6 pm on Monday with rosary at 8pm. On Tuesday, funeral arriving at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem Mass https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/ Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Pat Holohan Twoomey Park, Mountmellick Co. Laois. Died December 16th, in the company of her loving family, at The Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Deeply regretted by her loving family, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.

Pat will repose in her home today Saturday from 4pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7pm. Reposing in her home Sunday from 1pm until 3pm (R32KA48). Family time thereafter until removal at 4.30pm to St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick arriving at 5pm. Requiem Mass Monday at 11am. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Mountmellick. Mary Rosney (nee Conway), Clonlyon, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died on the 17th of December 2022, peacefully, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore. Dearly loved wife of Philip and cherished mother of Helen, Philip, Linda, Brian and David. She will be very sadly missed by her adored grandchildren, brothers Jodie and John, daughters-in law, sons-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnephew, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Sunday from 4pm to 8pm with Rosary at 8pm. House Private after the Rosary.

Beloved mother of Marion Winifred, Margaret, Donal, Mary, Josephine and Ann-Marie. Sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren, brother, sister, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, extended family and friends.

Breada Whelan, (née Quirke) of “Green Lawns”, Hollymount, Carlow, Co. Laois and formerly of Coolcullen, Co. Kilkenny, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on December 14th, 2022, at St Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.

Beloved wife of the late Martin, much loved mother of Michael, Hugh, Dorothy and Oliver, adored grandmother of Martin Óg and Katie, cherished mother-in-law of Marion and Nicola and treasured sister of the late George, James, Maria and Diana.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, daughter, grandchildren, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
