SOLAS – Fitness Swap, Tree Shredding and Homeware Sale

Solas January 5

SOLAS Eco Garden Centre in Portarlington starts the new year with its focus firmly on good food, fitness and the environment.

Fitness Equipment Swap – January 15

This event is going to take place on Sunday, January 15, from 12 noon–3pm. David Maher of SOLAS explains: “The idea is simple – people can bring along their unwanted gym and Fitness equipment and either sell it or swap it out more suitable equipment.

“Undoubtedly there is huge amounts of equipment which is no longer suitable to owners needs which could be given a new lease of life.

“This is a really innovative idea, as far as I know no where is doing this but we know from our past experience with clothes swaps, Book swaps, car boot sales etc there is a real demand for the circular economy, which is so central to the SOLAS ethos”.

Stalls on the Market-street & Food Court area will include:

  • Equipment swap area
  • Local Gyms
  • Local Sports Clubs
  • Dietician to give advice on healthy eating plans
  • Physiotherapists
