Peacefully at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his stepson Barry Kelly. Deeply regretted by his loving partner Nuala, son Kevin, daughter Shannon, stepchildren Dawn, Jason and David, son-in-law Joe, daughter-in-law Peggy, Gina, Helena and Garry, grandchildren Evan, Kayleigh, Lola, Madison, Rhys, Hayley, Myles, Dom and Maya, brothers, sisters, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 XF84) on Sunday and Monday evening from 4pm with Rosary on both evenings at 8pm. Removal on Tuesday morning at 10:20am arriving St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick for Requiem Mass at 11am. Funeral afterwards to St Joseph’s Cemetery.

Kevin’s Requiem Mass will be streamed live on.

Martin Dunne Tinnahinch, Clonaslee, Co. Laois, died 14th of January 2023, peacefully, in his home surrounded by his loving family. Past employee of Standex, Mountmellick.

Predeceased by his parents John and Mary Dunne Augha, Tinnahinch, Clonaslee. Sadly missed by his loving partner Marian Murphy, his brother Ger, sisters Mary, Alice, Brighid (Bridgie), Angela (Angie), nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, relatives and many friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick on Monday from 5pm with recital of the Rosary at 7.30pm.

Removal on Tuesday morning from his home to St Manman’s Church, Clonaslee, arriving for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Manman’s Cemetery.

Brigid Rowan (née Delaney)
Newtown Cross, Crettyard, Laois/Crettyard, Carlow

Newtown Cross, Crettyard, Co Laois. Peacefully at Archersrath Nursing Home, Kilkenny.

Predeceased by her husband Seamus, brother and sisters. Brigid will be sadly missed by her loving children Nicola, Teresina, Seamus, Claire, Mairead, Patrick, Maíre, Breid, and Una, sister Peggy (Delaney), sisters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlecomer from 12 noon on Sunday (15th January) concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7.30pm.

Funeral cortege arriving at St. Abban’s Church, Doonane on Monday (16th Jan.) for Requiem Mass at 11am, and Brigid will be laid to rest thereafter in the adjoining cemetery.

Teresa Ryan (née McEvoy)
Woodbrook, Portarlington, Laois/Barntown, Wexford

Teresa Ryan Nee McEvoy Woodbrook, Portarligton, and formerly of Rathnamanagh, Portlaoise, Co. Laois.

Passed away peacefully in St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin surrounded by her loving family. Sadly missed by her husband Barry (Barntown, Co Wexford), her children Katie, Páidí and Hannah, her parents, Pat and Frances (Claffey), her brothers Patrick and Sean, her sister Claire, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, relatives and many friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Mountmellick on Sunday from 4pm with Recital of the Rosary at 6pm. Removal on Monday morning from her parents home to St Paul’s Church Emo arriving for 12 o’clock Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in St Paul’s new Cemetery.

Paul Carroll London and formerly of Clonanny House, Portarlington County Laois. Died 11th January after a brief illness at The Royal Free Hospital, Pond Street, London. Much loved son of Eileen and the late Michael. Beloved brother of Geraldine, Billy, Deirdre (Cotter) and Aileen (Doyle), a dear uncle to Debbie, Yvonne, Mary, Matthew, Gráinne, Nicholas, Michael, Emma and Ciara. Sadly missed by the extended family and his wide circle of friends especially in London.

The family would like to thank you for your help and understanding at this sad and difficult time.

Peacefully at home, sadly missed by her brothers Jack and Michael, sisters-in-law Judith and Brenda, her sisters Kathleen and Bernadette, brothers-in-law Richard and John, her nieces and nephews, especially Gerry and Gerardine, grand-nephews, grand-nieces,relatives, neighbours and friends.

Funeral reception on Friday evening at 7pm in The Church of Our Lady Queen of The Universe, Errill. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 10am followed by cremation at The Islands Crematorium, Cork.

Joan Young (nee Phelan), Ballycleary, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois (peacefully at her home. January 9th. 2023.

Predeceased by her husband Thomas (Tommy), sons Seamus and T.J.. Deeply regretted by her loving family, daughters Breada and Josie, sons Con, Gerard and Liam, sisters Phil and Patricia, brothers Oliver and Martin, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Joan’s Funeral Mass will take place this Saturday morning (Jan. 14th.) at 11 o’c in St. Edmund’s Church Castletown, with burial immediately afterwards in Aghaboe cemetery. House Private please at all times.

O’Rourke Mai (nee Conroy) Springfield, Ballyfin, 10th January 2023. Peacefully, in the loving care of the matron and staff of Lourdesville Nursing Home, Co. Kildare, in her 103rd year. Predeceased by her husband Liam. Deeply regretted by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, dear neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Keegan’s funeral home on Friday from 6pm with rosary at 7pm. Removal on Saturday to St. Fintan’s Church, Ballyfin, for 11am requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Ballyfin.

Agnes Hyland (nee Deegan), Currawn, Aghaboe, Ballacolla, Co. Laois. January 10th 2023. Peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hospital in the presence of her loving family. Following a long illness, predeceased by her infant sister Mary. Sadly missed by her loving husband Joe and her beloved son Ben, her godchild Maebh, her parents Donal and Margaret Deegan, her brothers Dan, Joe, Martin, Liam, Fintan and John Paul, her twin sister Breda and her sister Annmarie, father-in-law Mikie Hyland and mother-in-law Laura, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at her home (Currawn) R32 NH05, on Thursday and Friday evening from 4pm with prayers at 8pm on both evenings. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon in St. Canice’s Church, Clough followed by interment in Aghaboe. Family flowers only, donations can be made to The Cuisle Centre.

Margaret (Peig) Bergin, (née Fitzpatrick), Frankford, Kilcormac, Co. Offaly and formerly of Ballyroan, Co. Laois, died January 11th, peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband William, baby daughter Geraldine, daughter-in-law Geraldine and recently deceased sister Betty. She will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters; Cathleen, Jacinta, Garrett, Mairéad, Ciara, Liam, Tony and Clare, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, her brothers Séan and Paddy and her sister Nan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Boyd’s Funeral Home Birr ( R42 YF75 ), on Friday, January 13th, from 5pm – 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday, January 14th, at 11am. in the Church of The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Kilcormac, followed by burial in St. James Cemetery, Eglish, Birr.
