Formerly of Spink, Abbeyleix County Laois. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Predeceased by her parents James and Alice, brothers D.J. and Patrick (recently deceased). Deeply regretted by her brothers Eugene and Bosco , sister Anastasia, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington on Friday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 9:50am arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10:30am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Husband of the late Mary (Julian) and brother of the late Joan, Anna, Michael and Eamon. Deeply regretted by his loving son John, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Cora and Áine, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy on Friday evening (January 20th) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Ballylinan for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise, Laois

Greene, Tony, St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise, 16th January 2023 (Suddenly). Predeceased by his parents Tony and Annie. Sadly missed by his brothers Michael, Christopher, Joe and Paul, sisters Mary and Ann-Marie, nieces, nephews, sisters in law, brother in law, grandnieces, grandnephews, his loving aunt Ellie Foran, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Keegan’s funeral home on Wednesday from 6 .30 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Thursday in SS Peter and Paul’s Church https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Burial immediately afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.

Francis (Jack) Mullen
Ballymaddock, Stradbally, Laois, R32 N281

Francis passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his residence in Glongowen, Co. Kilkenny. Sadly missed by his heart broken parents Karl and Fiona. Dearly missed by his loving brothers and sisters, Shaun, Rebecca, Abigail, Robyn, Jorja, Tadgh, Poppy, Fíonn and Reaghen, his much loved partner Jessica and her daughter Holly, his nieces and nephews Aida, Cuan, Amara and Tobias, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ballymaddock R32N281 from 3pm on Thursday with recital of the Rosary at 8pm Thursday evening. Removal on Friday by Whelehan Funeral Director’s at 11.15am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church Stradbally for 12 noon Requiem mass. Interment to follow in Oakvale cemetery. House private on Friday morning please.

Margaret ( Peggy) Brennan (née Ives)
7 Church Avenue, Stradbally, Laois

Peggy passed away peacefully in her 93rd year in the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Predeceased by her husband Micky and her daughter Rose Mary. Sadly missed by her sons and daughters, Michael, Elizabeth, Martin, Tommy, Marie and Patrick, daughters in law, sons in law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her son Martin and daughter in law Mary’s residence R32H2X9 Ashtrees, Stradbally, from 4pm on Tuesday with recital of the Rosary at 8pm on Tuesday and Wednesday evening. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Thursday morning at 10.30am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church Stradbally for 11am Requiem Mass. Interment will follow in Oakvale Cemetery. House private on Thursday morning, please. The Brennan family would like to thank you for your support during this sensitive and difficult time.

Mark Anthony Whelan, Pound Street, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, January 15th 2023. Peacefully, in the tender care of the nurses and staff of Villa Marie Nursing Home, Roscrea. Predeceased by his mother Hanora and his father Daniel, brothers Dan and Bill, sisters Mary, Kitty and Anna.

Reposing at O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Rathdowney R32 NY24, on Wednesday evening from 6 o’clock with prayers at 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Thursday in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney (https://parishwebsites.ie/rathdowney/) at 11am followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery.
