Unexpectedly at his residence. Sadly missed by his loving wife Sadie, daughter Shirley, sons Richard and Roy, brothers Wesley and Robert, sisters Sheila and Edith, son-in-law Andrew, daughter-in-law Elaine, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 C393) on Sunday afternoon from 2pm until 6pm. Removal on Monday at 1:40pm arriving St Paul’s Church, Portarlington for Funeral Service at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Churchyard.

Sr Regina (Rita) Keyes
Presentation Convent, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny/Wolfhill, Laois

Sr. Regina (Rita) Keyes (Presentation Convent, Parnell Street, Kilkenny and late of Moyadd, Wolfhill, Co. Laois) January 19th (peacefully) at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home.

Predeceased by her parents Laurence and Margaret, brothers Paddy, Henry, John and Frank, sisters Elizabeth, Ellen (Sr. Bernard), Bridie (Sr. Ignatius) and Kathleen.

Deeply regretted by her sister Carmel (O’Dwyer), brother Brian, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, her Presentation Community, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the Convent Chapel from 3p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 21st) concluding with Evening Prayer at 5.30p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12.30p.m. followed by interment in St Kieran’s Cemetery, Kilkenny.

Thomas (Tommy) Dunne
Main Street, Portarlington, Laois/Ballybrittas, Laois

Formerly of Coolroe, Ballybrittas, County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Mater Private, Hospital Dublin. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Ellen, brother Paddy and sister Emmy. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Sheila, son Tommy, daughter Sheila and her partner Darren, brothers Martin and Johnny, sisters Molly, Ellen(Nellie), Julia, Kathleen, Ann, Frances and Bride, grandchildren Alex, Ashton, Abby and Cian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Saturday evening from 5pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Sunday at 1:15pm arriving The Sacred Heart Church, Rath for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Funeral afterwards to Moyanna Cemetery (travelling via Coolroe).

Frances Kennedy (née Dooley)
Blanchardstown, Dublin/Abbeyleix, Laois

Kennedy (née Dooley), (Blanchardstown, Dublin 15 and formerly of Abbeyleix, Co. Laois) January 18th, 2023 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown, Frances, beloved wife of Paddy and dear mother of Patrick. Sadly missed by her loving husband, son, sister, brothers, grandson Cillian, daughter-in-law Lonneke, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Blanchardstown on Sunday evening (January 22nd) between 6pm and 8pm. Removal on Monday morning (January 23rd) to St. Brigid’s Church, Blanchardstown arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am followed by Cremation in Glasnevin Crematorium.

Teresa (Tess) O’Connell (née Stapleton)
Courtwood Stores, Ballybrittas, Laois

Peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her loving husband Ned. Deeply regretted by her loving family Patrick, John, Mary (Hurley), Eamonn, Cora (Weldon) and Michael, daughters-in-law Val, Denise, Catherine and Sarah, sons-in-law James and Barry, grandchildren, brother-in-law Des, sister-in-law Dolores, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 V2T1) on Friday evening from 3pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm arriving The Sacred Heart Church, Rath for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Funeral afterwards to The New Cemetery, Emo.

Margaret Quirke (née Fitzpatrick)
Coolgreaney Close, Clonmel, Tipperary/Ballyfin, Laois

The death has occurred of Margaret Quirke (nee Fitzpatrick), Coolgreaney Close, Clonmel, Co Tipperary and formerly Barkmills, Ballyfin, Co Laois.

Margaret, formerly of Quirke’s Pharmacy, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday evening in the presence of her loving family, following a short illness. Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Tony, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Dara (McCloskey), sons Aidan and Ronan, her grandchildren Heather, Jenny, Patricia-Anne and Tony, daughters-in-law Patricia and Tara, son-in-law Martin, her brothers Joe and Eugene, sisters Ben, Pauline and Phil, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Condons Funeral Parlour, Clonmel on Friday evening from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. Removal on Saturday morning to St Mary’s Church, Irishtown. Funeral Mass on arrival at 12 noon. Those who cannot attend can watch live via the St Mary’s Parish livestream service www.churchservices.tv/clonmel.

Burial will take place afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to South Tipperary Hospice Movement.

SIDES DICK. (Richard) Ridge Rd., Portlaoise 19th January 2023 In his 92nd year. Passed away peacefully at Portlaoise Regional Hosp. Surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his darling wife Kitty. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his daughter Ann, son in law Noel. Adored granddaughters Aoife and Aine, their partners Damien and William, relatives, cherished neighbours on the Ridge Rd., and a large circle of friends from near and far.

Reposing at his family home on Friday from 3 pm with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem mass: https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment will follow in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery Portlaoise.

Formerly of Spink, Abbeyleix County Laois. Peacefully in the loving care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Predeceased by her parents James and Alice, brothers D.J. and Patrick (recently deceased). Deeply regretted by her brothers Eugene and Bosco , sister Anastasia, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington on Friday evening from 7pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 9:50am arriving St Michael’s Church Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 10:30am. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery Portarlington.

Husband of the late Mary (Julian) and brother of the late Joan, Anna, Michael and Eamon. Deeply regretted by his loving son John, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Cora and Áine, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Rigney’s Funeral Home, Athy on Friday evening (January 20th) from 6pm until the conclusion of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday morning to arrive at St. Anne’s Church, Ballylinan for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

Francis (Jack) Mullen
Ballymaddock, Stradbally, Laois, R32 N281

Francis passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his residence in Glongowen, Co. Kilkenny. Sadly missed by his heart broken parents Karl and Fiona. Dearly missed by his loving brothers and sisters, Shaun, Rebecca, Abigail, Robyn, Jorja, Tadgh, Poppy, Fíonn and Reaghen, his much loved partner Jessica and her daughter Holly, his nieces and nephews Aida, Cuan, Amara and Tobias, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home in Ballymaddock R32N281 from 3pm on Thursday with recital of the Rosary at 8pm Thursday evening. Removal on Friday by Whelehan Funeral Director’s at 11.15am to arrive at the Sacred Heart Church Stradbally for 12 noon Requiem mass. Interment to follow in Oakvale cemetery. House private on Friday morning please.
