Wesley passed away peacefully in the loving care of the Palliative team at Tullamore Hospital on Saturday 28th January 2023. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife Noelle, his daughters Siobhan, Fiona and Sinead, grandchildren Jessica, Henry and Paddy, brother Richard, sisters Sheila and Edith, sons-in-law Giles, Colm and Trevor, step-children Jonathan, Kate and Simon, nephews, nieces, relatives, a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

“Now Resting Where No Shadows Fall”.

Reposing at his residence (eircode R32 T2D1) on Monday evening 30th January from 3pm until 7pm. Removal on Tuesday 31st January at 12:15pm arriving St Paul’s Church Portarlington for Funeral Service at 1pm. Burial afterwards in St Mary’s Churchyard, Geashill Village.

Formerly of Cummer Camross. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Tallaght University Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Sean and predeceased by her brothers and sisters Dan, Lar, Molly (Deegan) and Josie. Sadly missed by her sons Michael, PJ, Colm and daughter Elizabeth. Daughters in law Olive, Liz & Sara. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters in law, brother in law, nieces, nephews and her large circle of friends.

Reposing at Guilfoyles Funeral Home Castletown,(EirCode R32 TN84) this Sunday (29th) from 6.30 pm with prayers at 8.00 pm. Removal on Monday morning to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath for 10.00 am Mass. Followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.House private at all times. Sr. Sheila Bowe
Presentation Convent, Parnell St, Kilkenny City, Kilkenny/Durrow, Laois

Sr. Sheila Bowe (Presentation Convent, Parnell St., Kilkenny and late of Capponellan, Durrow, Co. Laois). January 26th 2023 (peacefully) at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents Thomas and Julia, brothers Tommy and Ned, her sister Mary (Sr. Mary Catherine).

Deeply regretted by her brothers Donal and Johnny, sisters-in-law Mai and Alice, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, her Presentation Community, extended family and friends.

Reposing at the Convent Chapel from 3p.m. on Saturday (Jan. 28th) concluding with Evening Prayer at 5.30p.m. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11a.m. in St. Mary’s Cathedral followed by interment in the Holy Trinity Church graveyard, Durrow, Co. Laois.

Bridie died peacefully at St. Luke’s Hospital Kilkenny. Predeceased by her husband Noel and son John. Deeply regretted by her loving sons Dermot and Ray, daughter Colette, daughter in law Oonagh, grandchildren Shona, Roisin, Ciara, Noel and Brian, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence at Church St., Ballinakill from 3oc on Friday with Rosary at 8oc. Removal from her residence at 5.40 on Saturday evening to St. Brigid’s Church Ballinakill arriving at 6oc. Peacefully at the Midlands General Hospital Portlaoise. Beloved husband of Elizabeth. Deeply regretted by his loving wife, children June, Ian, Norman, Winston, Philip, Rachel and Wesley, sister Winnie, daughters in law, sons in law, sisters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives neighbours and friends.

Margaret (Peg) Lalor (née Fitzpatrick), Portlaoise Road, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 26th January 2023 (peacefully) at St. Vincent’s Nursing Unit Mountmellick, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her siblings Lil, Áine and Giggie. Dearly beloved wife of Tom, deeply regretted by her husband, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath, this Friday evening from 6pm, with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday evening at 6.15pm to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, arriving for 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Sunday morning at 11.30am, followed by burial in St. Brigid’s Cemetery, Shanahoe.

Mary (Bunny) McInerney
86 Kirwan Park, Mountmellick, Laois

Died peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore surrounded by her loving family.

Deeply loved and missed beyond words by her husband John, sons Patrick, John Paul and Jason, daughters Maureen, Kathleen, Eileen, Tina and Tracey, her six grandsons, nine granddaughters, and two great grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home Mountmellick on Sunday from 3.30pm with Prayer’s at 5pm. Removal at 5.40pm to St Joseph’s Church Mountmellick arriving for 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Joseph’s Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to The Irish Cancer Society.

Louise O’Reilly, New Line Close, Mountrath, Co Laois and formerly of Bullock Park, Carlow, passed away unexpectedly, on January 25th, 2023, at her home.

Beloved mother of Adam, Tom and Elliott, much loved daughter of Tony and the late Colette, cherished sister of Susan and Tony Jnr and treasured partner of Ambrose.

She will be sadly missed by her loving sons, father, brother, sister, brother-in- law Ciarán, Tony’s partner Darina, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Graiguecullen on Monday, January 30th, from 6pm, concluding with Prayers at 8.30pm. Removal on Tuesday, January 31st, at 10.45am to St. Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial immediately afterwards in Sleaty New Cemetery.

In the loving care of the management and staff of St Anne’s Ward, Mountmellick. Retired teacher of Heywood College, Ballinakill. Predeceased by his parents Garret and Mary G. Kathleen who was formerly from Timahoe, Co. Laois passed away peacefully at her residence in the company of her loving family. Predeceased by her beloved husband Canice. Sadly missed by her loving family, son Conor, daughter Ciara, sister Mary, brothers Tom, Pj and Michael, grandchildren, daughter in law, son in law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Kathleen will be reposing at her residence Millbrook Lawns, Tallaght, Dublin on Friday from 6pm to 8pm with recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors from her residence on Saturday morning at 10.40am to arrive at Saint Dominic’s Church, Millbrook Lawns, Tallaght for 11am Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery, Timahoe, Co. Laois.

Mary O’Brien (née O’Keeffe)
Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Laois/Raharney, Westmeath

O’Brien, Mary, Kilminchy, Portlaoise and formerly Raharney, Co. Westmeath. January 25th 2023, suddenly at her home. Daughter of the late Matthew and Peggy O`Keeffe. Predeceased by her husband Gerard. Dearly loved mother to Mark and his partner Céire. Deeply regretted by her loving sisters Noeleen, Annette, Teresa, her brother Frank, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Cremation will take place in Shannon Crematorium on Friday at 12 noon. House private please.

Patrick (PJ) Hayes
13 Elsa Road, Welling, Kent, England, Ballaghaderreen, Roscommon/Timahoe, Laois

Mr Patrick Joseph Hayes better known as “PJ”, late of Ballaghaderren, Co. Roscommon, Ireland and formerly, Kilburn, London, returned to The Father, 28th December, 2022, predeceased by his late wife, Mary Josephine Hayes, nee Dillon, and his late son, Dennis James Hayes.

He is loved and remembered by his surviving children: Monica, Gary, Samantha and Olivia and partners: Breda, Eddie, Gerry and Dennis; his grandchildren: Darrel, Aaron, Ashleigh, Shane, Robert and Chloe; great-grandchildren: Tommy, Amelia and Rosabella and his brothers Joe and Stephan and his sister Maureen, his dear friends: The Headen family, with special mention to Marie-Therese Headen and Nellie Ruane and all the many other lovely friends Dad met along the way, including friends/neighbours: John Daley, Bernard and Mary and lifelong friends Tina and Janette Ng and all the countless others.

Patrick will repose in The Presentation Chapel in Stradbally R32 WRH9 on Sunday evening 29th from 5pm with recital of the Rosary at 5.45pm.

Removal by Whelehan Funeral Directors on Monday morning the 30th at 11.30am to arrive at St Michael’s Church, Timahoe, Co. Laois, R32x880 for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment to follow in Saint Michael’s Cemetery.
