Pat Hooban, Cherrygarth, Portlaoise, Co Laois (R32 YKC5) February 20th 2023, died peacefully after a long illness surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Joe and Maureen Hooban, Ballyfin, his brother Peter and his wife Pauline. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Póilín (Pauline) and much cherished daughter Emma, sisters Margie (Scully) Mountmellick, Alice (McEniry) Mountmellick , brothers Dan, Joe and Kevin, Aunt Rose (Meleady) Dublin, Aunt Sheila (Thornhill) London, Uncle Peter (Redmond) Redcastle, Mountrath, Uncle Bernie (Redmond), Merton, London, Cousin James (Thornhill), West Sussex, England, nieces, nephews, brothers in laws, sisters in law, cousins, neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at his residence from 5pm – 8pm on Wednesday 22ndwith Rosary at 8pm.

Removal from his residence on Thursday morning to arrive at St Peter & Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12noon Mass. Burial after in local cemetery. House private on Thursday morning.

Ballytarsna, Abbeyleix, Laois

Peacefully surrounded by his family in the loving care of the staff of Oghill Nursing Home. Predeceased by his wife Mary .Mourned by his heartbroken daughters Anne and Patricia, sons-in-law Eamon and Aidan, adored grandchildren Roisin, Tommy, Sean and Conall . Brothers Martin and Joe, sisters-in-law Josie and Lil, brother-in-law Paddy, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing in the Chapel of Rest adjoining The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, on Tuesday from 5.30pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal from his residence on Ash Wednesday to The Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, for 1pm. Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

William ( Willie) Lyons
Borris Little, Portlaoise, Laois / Castleisland, Kerry

Lyons William. Borris Little, Portlaoise. Feb 21st 2023. In the loving care of the staff of Oakdale Nursing Home, Portarlington. Son of the late Patrick and Catherine Lyons. Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Helen Dowling and Nora Doleman ( UK). Brother in law Francis Dowling . Predeceased by his brothers Thomas, Michael, John and Patrick. Fondly remembered by the residents and staff of Oakdale, his former work colleagues in Dunnes Stores, all his friends and associates in KARE, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Keegans Funeral Home, Porlaoise from 5 pm till 6.30 pm on Wednesday. Removal on Thursday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 2 pm mass. https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment will follow in Donaghcomper Cemetery, Celbridge, Co. Kildare.

Breda (Birdie) Langton, 21 The Glebe, Stradbally, Laois and formerly Cashel, Ballyroan, Laois. Peacefully, on the 20th Feb 2023 at her home.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered always by her loving husband Sean, daughter Cathy, sons Martin, John, Podge and Jimmy, grandchildren, Gavin, Barry, Jessie, Jack, Clodagh, Danny, Nicola and Grace, sisters, brothers, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing at her home from 3pm on Tuesday (21st February), with recital of the rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon on Wednesday (22nd February) in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.

Peter Conroy 33 Emmet Terrace, Mountmellick and formerly Graigue Mountmellick Co Laois.

Died unexpectedly at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise February 19th. Deeply regretted by his loving sister Ann Hickey brothers Jim, Joe, Liam and Christy, neices, nephews, brothers in law, sister in law, cousins, neighbours, former work colleagues and his many friends.

Reposing Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick on Tuesday from 6pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm. Reposing in on Wednesday from 12noon with Removal at 12.45pm to St.Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick arriving for Requiem Mass at 1pm. Burial after in St.Joseph’s Cemetery.
