Pat Hennessy of 3 Church St., Governey Park, Graiguecullen, Carlow, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on March 4th , 2023, at his home.

Beloved husband of Eileen, much loved father of Carol, Linda, Damien and Karena, adored grandfather of Darragh, Sorcha, Dean, Cian, Caitlin, Rebecca, Ryan, Adam, Sean, Danieka and the late baby Stephen and cherished brother of Willie, Betty, Michael and the late Paul.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren Chloe, Jayden and Jamie, sons-in-law Damien and Martin, Damien’s partner Petro, brothers, sister, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home, 3 Church St., Governey Park, Graiguecullen (Eircode R93 EV65) on Sunday, March 5th, from 2pm concluding with Prayers at 8pm.

Removal from there on Monday at 11.30am to St Clare’s Church, Graiguecullen, arriving for Funeral Mass at 12 Noon. Funeral afterwards to Sleaty New Cemetery for burial.

Rathfarnham, Dublin / Borris-in-Ossory, Laois

GANTLY (née Geoghegan), Lucy, 4th March 2023, Ann Devlin Rd., Rathfarnham, D.14, formerly of Borris-in-Ossory, Co. Laois, peacefully in her 97th year surrounded by her loving family in the tender loving care of the staff of Millbrook Nursing Home. Beloved wife of the late Oisín, much loved mother of Michael, Patrick, Oisín and Cathal. Lucy will be forever loved and dearly missed by her children, daughter-in-law Helen, grandchildren Sarah, Rachel, Myles and Niamh, sisters Eileen, Marie, Agnes and Rena, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Massey Bros Funeral Home, Templeogue Village, D6W AC82 this Monday evening from 5pm-7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning to the Church of the Holy Spirit, Ballyroan arriving for 10 am Requiem Mass followed by Cremation Service at 11.30am in Victorian Chapel, Mt. Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross. Those who cannot attend the Funeral Mass can view it by clicking here.

Michael Greene, Well Rd., Portlaoise and St. Brigid’s Place, 2nd March 2023. Died, peacefully, at The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Tony and Annie and his recently deceased brother Tony. Sadly missed by his brothers Christopher, Joe and Paul, sisters Mary and Ann-Marie, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, grandnieces, grandnephews, his loving aunt Ellie Foran, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Sunday from 6:30pm with rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon in SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Burial immediately afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise. Please observe Covid precautions.

Breda Dunne (née Whelan)

Dunne Breda, Capoley, Portlaoise. Died 3rd March, unexpectedly. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Liam, son Declan, sister Mary Delaney, brother Johnny, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law Meabh, darling grandchildren Cillian and Aoife , nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends.

Philomena (Phil) Moore, Lacca, Mountrath, formerly of Mounthall, CamrossCo. Laois. Died 3rd March 2023 peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tony, son-in-law Brendan, daughter-in-law Caroline.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by family Séan, Mary, Ann, Anthony, Phelim, Darragh and Jennifer, her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, extended family, relatives, neighbours and close circle of friends.

Reposing at her home in Lacca (Eircode R32NP68) this Sunday evening from 5.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 9.0’clock. Removal on Monday morning to St. Fergal’s Church Camross, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon, followed by Burial in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully, predeceased by her husband Michael. Sadly missed by her sons Brian, Barry and Donal, daughter Anne, daughters-in-law Monique, Finnuala and Nyambura , grandchildren Emma and Rachel, step grandchild Sam and step great grandchild Noah, brother Patrick and sister Nora, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her son Barry’s residence, Dunmore, Durrow from 4pm on Sunday with prayers at 6pm. Removal on Monday morning to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix for 11am Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.

Joseph (Joe) Connolly, Esker, Ballyfin, Portlaoise, Co. Laois R32VH26 died Friday 3rd of March peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John & Mary & his brothers Seán & Myles and his sister Mary.

Dearly loved husband of Marie & loving father to Aisling, Barry, David, Colin & Nicola. Cherished grandfather to Thomas, Eoin, Glen, Caoímhe, Conor, Fionnán, Sophie, Muireann, Laura, Bláthnaid, Méadhbh, Pádraig & Seán. Deeply regretted by his daughter-in-laws Stacey, Eithne & Maria & son-in-law Nigel, brother Donal, sister Eileen, relatives, neighbours & friends.

Reposing in his home on Sunday from 3pm with Recital of the Rosary at 6pm. Removal on Monday to St Fintan’s church Ballyfin arriving for 11 o’clock Requiem Mass.

Loving son of Lourda and Paul, and beloved brother to Marie. Predeceased by his aunt Brenda, sadly missed by his heartbroken parents and sister, grandparents Timmy and Mary Kirwan, Pat and Breda Hosey, aunts and uncles Colm, Bernie, Barbara, Peter, Emer, Stephen, Tadhg, Elaine, Diarmuid, Karen, Tom, Brian, Ann Marie, Barbara, Eamon, Donna, Gary, cousins Mark, Mikey, Eimee, Oisin, Jack, Ben, Lily, Fiadh, Willow, Craig, Cora, Patrick, Kate, Ava, Michael, Eóghan, Páidí and Saoirse, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Joseph Bergin, Chicago, USA and formerly Kilbreedy, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. February 26th 2023. Predeceased by his parents Matthew and Bridget and his brothers Paddy, Billy, Tommy, Matthew and sister Theresa. Devoted husband of Ann “Nancy” Delaney (Coolagh, Clonaslee). Loving father of Dee (Flaherty), Matthew, John, Joseph and Annie (Dwyer), sons and daughters-in-law, cherished grandfather and great-grandfather, brothers Peter, and sisters Mary and Anna, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass and burial will take place on Friday at the Visitation Church, Elmhurst, Chicago.

Memorial Mass will be held in St. Canice’s Church, Clough on Monday, 6th March, at 7.30pm.

1st March, 2023, in the tender care of the management and staff of Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow; predeceased by his wife Sheila (2014). Joseph will be sadly missed by his sons Thomas and Andrew, daughter Fionnula, son-in-law Ken, grandchildren Luke and Eve, sister Una Brennan, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at McGuill’s Funeral Home, Bennekerry (Eircode: R93 E5N7) on Thursday, 2nd March from 4.30p.m. concluding with Prayers at 8.30p.m. Funeral Mass on Saturday, 4th March at 11.00a.m. in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Arles, Co. Laois, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

Tragically in Taumarunui, New Zealand. Predeceased by his beloved Nanny Ev and Granddad Tommy. Sorely missed by his heartbroken family, parents Tom and Julie and sister Ella, Granny Mary, Granddad Jerry, Godparents Ger and Claire, Godson Charlie, aunts Donna, Elaine, Nicola, Emma, Liz, Stephanie and Natascha, uncles Paul, James, Martin, Glynn, Eddie and Barry, cousins Jack, Chloe, Lorna, Oran, Chloe, Kizzie, Cian, Rachel, Caleb, Laoise, Arran. Reposing at his residence from 4.00pm to 8.00pm on Thursday and Friday evenings with Rosary both evenings at 8.00pm. Removal from his residence on Saturday morning to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla for Requiem Mass at 12.00 noon.
